omplete dismemberment of a highly ranked football squad like last night’s decapitation of the Texas Tech Red Raiders by the Oklahoma Sooners, and for the benefit of my impending ulcers, I hope I never do again.

Texas Tech is better than U. The Red Raiders pulled the upset of the year beating the No. 1 ranked Texas Longhorns Saturday night in a bar fight of a football game that any fan of college football surely enjoyed. The Red Raider’s victory was secured with a final second touchdown that had all of Texas and the rest of the nation on the edge of their seats.The win catapulted

morning cartoons on cartoon network or should I watch some big time college football games such as Texas Tech vs. Kansas and Florida vs. Kentucky. I decided to leave the animated characters for another time and watch athletes tote the rock. I am watching the Florida Gators team make Kentucky Wildcats look like a high school junior varsity team. Within the first quarter the Gators scored 4 touchdowns back-to-back-to-back-to-back. That is a lot of backs!! I 'm serious...they have a about four different running backs that are very explosive and hit the hole pretty hard. The Gators started off by blocking two punts and and a field goal. The last time I have saw something like that was when I was playing NCAA 09 with the Georgia Bulldogs. The Wildcats came into the game being ranked 11th in pass defense, but they allowed quarterback Tim Tebow to have 139 yards in the first half.

But let’s look at the attitudes of the pollsters. Let’s assume Texas Tech wins its next two games and enters the Texas game at 8-0. By then, they would have also beaten a number 15 (or 16 depending on the poll) Kansas team. If Tech loses, the pollsters will say, “See, we told you they weren’t that good.” But, they would have played the number 1 team in the nation and that would be their only loss. So who would have a better loss? - Tech losing to Texas or USC losing to Oregon State? Not even close!

WEEK SIX COLLEGE FOOTBALL RANKINGS
25. GT (4-1)
Considering the fact that a 3-point loss in Blacksburg is the only blemish on its record, Georgia Tech deserves to be ranked in the top 25. In his first year in Atlanta, Paul Johnson is definitely exceeding expectations.
