Brett Favre

ht time as they enter the playoffs on a high note.

Short Shots:

Brett Favre…retire already!  Just go away!  It’s over!  See ya!  Can you tell I have a genuine dislike for this guy?  Oh yeah…bye-bye!

ould have to have spent the past year in a cave to not know that after sixteen years with the team, Brett Favre is no longer the quarterback of the Green Bay Packers. The other big difference between last year's team and this one is something a little more difficult to predict or control. That is health.

He was quickly disregarded as trash when the golden icon Brett Favre donned the green and white.

Understandable?

Yes.

Good for the Jets?

Yes.

Surprise,

Also good for Pennington and the Dolphins.

s a lot of it upon himself by acting like such an attention whore a social butterfly.

1. Brett Favre (NYJ)—First, it was the retirement/unretirement story. Then it was the big trade/ugly departure headline. Next, it was the Rodgers/Favre season comparison. Subsequently, it was the Romo/Favre injury conversation. Finally, it was the Millen/Favre controversy. Now, it’s the Favre turnover complaint. Is anyone else tired of this?

The Jets may not look great, but they have Brett Favre, and even if he is the equivalent of Joe Montana in 1993 when he flew the flag of Kansas City he still knows how to throw deep touchdown passes and put points on the scoreboard so quickly that it makes heads spin. More importantly, though, the Jets have a mark in the W column and the Chargers do not.

Since the latest Brett Favre vs. Green Bay Packers, et al, conflict began, I've held my peace, hoping that amid all the negative press Favre has received, one positive, shining light might emerge. But, alas, that has not happened. So I'm obliged to agree with most of my  media cohorts and side with the Packers' GM, President, and coach, all in the general interest of the TEAM and FANS.

t the simplest equation.

Are you a better team going forward for the next year or two with Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers.  Considering you are stupid enough to drink the Mister Rodgers neighborhood Kool-Aid that you could somehow think that you could do better than a QB that threw for over 4000 yds  and got his 9th PROBOWL nomination with A-Rod and no not the A-Rod that is the 3B for the Yankees.

And now, one of the longest and most successful eras, that of Brett Favre, has ended, much to his fans' surprise and disappointment.

Like most native Wisconsites, I was virtually born a Packer fan. And like most kids of my generation, I became a devout fan during the Lombardi era. Bart Starr was every kid's favorite athlete. And we knew our team (and its fans) were tough--they succesfully survived the Ice Bowl!

years as the Green Bay Packers quarterback, the legendary and future hall of famer 3 time MVP Brett Favre is set to retire.

"I know I can still play, but it's like I told my wife, I'm just tired mentally. I'm just tired," Favre, a three-time NFL MVP, told ESPN's Chris Mortensen in a voice mail message.

Know one thing I appreciate about being a Packer fan?

No half-dressed slutty girls OOPS I MEAN cheerleaders on the sidelines.

It’s not because I’m a gal and don’t want to see other gals shake their junk.  In fact, it’s fine that other teams have the cheerleaders/dancers/scantily dressed babes shaking their good for the world to see.  But I don’t want that for the Packers.
