If I were to tell you that a professional baseball team with a small payroll that is not the Yankees made it to the World Series after having the worst record in Major League Baseball, would you think I am on some type of medication? It's okay, you don't have to answer out loud. I really know what you are thinking inside. Well, if you were on planet Jupiter for the past year, you have missed a lot in the sports world. If you are a big Cinderalla fan, and you have magic slippers in your closet, then this might relate to you. Who would've thought that Joe Maddon's team would be on the big stage.
I know...I know. Some of you guys are like "Who are the Tampa Bay Rays?" Well, to help you out, they were called the Tampa Bay Devil Rays the year prior. I actually like the change, the word Devil gave them bad luck, don't you think? They are a professional baseball team in the beautiful town of Saint Petersburg, Fla. They are finally on the map and if you go to mapquest, I am sure you will find them. After an impressive win last night in Game 7, the Rays are the gods of the American League right now. You must have a special key to come into their kingdom or it will come down to judgement day. David Price, the rookie was one of the key component being the closer and saving their season. A guy who went 12-1 in the minor leagues to having a save in one of the biggest games of his life. I am still trying to recover but I know for right now, the Joe Maddon and his club holds the key. I remember one night I went over there and they locked me out..oh well, its not the first time they changed keys on me...
